Parent/Teacher Organization exists for parents to assist in the raising of necessary funds and opportunities for socialization, community building and public relations for MCRS. The objectives of the organization are:
- To provide parents with effective ways of cooperating with the school in the transmission of Catholic values, while building strong relationships.
- To publicize through an ongoing and effective public relations campaign, the contributions of the school to the parishes and the broader Church and civic communities, while increasing enrollment.
- To maximize financial resources available to the school through well-planned fund raising activities and contributions from the business community.
The membership of the PTO consists of the parents/grandparents/guardians, pastors/parish administrators, principal, and the faculty and staff of MCRS.
The officers of the PTO are the president, vice president, and secretary for a term of one year.
Some of the activities and committees in which the PTO may be involved include the Book Fair, Fundraisers, Hospitality and Refreshments, Holiday Events, Home Room Parents, Family Breakfasts, Teacher’s Luncheon, and the Uniform Exchange. The PTO also sponsors classroom parties and dances for Middle School students.
The MCRS PTO does not require membership to pay dues.
